What is the MEDI Neck Stretcher for?

This home-use neck care device is designed to relieve neck pain and tension through the combination of electric muscle stimulation (EMS), heat therapy, and cervical traction to gently stretch and relax the muscles in your neck.

Cervical traction is considered a physical therapy treatment, therefore, we recommend that you consult a doctor before using it if you're concerned.

Yes, by regularly stretching and relaxing tight neck muscles, this cervical traction device may improve posture over time.

The electrical signals are transmitted through water or other moisture. Before use, please moisten the area of your neck where the EMS/heat pads will be in contact with water.

Yes, the EMS neck traction device is safe for daily use.

For optimal traction performance, we recommend using the MEDI Neck Stretcher on a flat, hard surface, such as tile, wooden or carpeted floor.

Some users feel relief after the first few sessions, while others may require consistent use for several days to notice improvement. Results vary depending on the individual's condition and the severity of the neck pain.

We would strongly advise against using this cervical traction device while sleeping. Please note that MEDI NECK has a 15-min auto off timer, which also helps prevent discomfort due to prolonged usag.

If you're not diagnosed with CSM (Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy),a mild dizziness or nausea during your first use of MEDI NECK is a normal reaction to neck traction.

1. Overusing the neck traction device can strain the muscles and ligaments, resulting in post-traction pain. In this case, we recommend reducing the traction time.

2. Discomfort can also be caused by excessive friction on the skin. If pain occurs, we recommend shortening the usage time.

3. Additionally, applying heat to the treatment area before and after use to promote blood circulation can help reduce discomfort.

Diagnosed or Suspected Cervical Spine Conditions:
If you have diagnosed or suspected conditions like cervical spine tumors, tuberculosis, or infections, it's advised to avoid traction.

Severe Disc Problems or Spinal Issues:
If you have a central cervical disc herniation with symptoms like pain, numbness, or dysfunction in both your arms or legs, or issues with bowel and bladder control, cervical traction should be avoided. Patients with cervical myelopathy (spinal cord compression) or severe spinal stenosis should also avoid cervical traction.

Cervical Disc Herniation with Spinal Slippage (Spondylolisthesis):
If your cervical spine has vertebrae that are displaced (spondylolisthesis), traction could make things worse, so it should be avoided.

Poor Overall Health or Serious Health Conditions:
If you're dealing with serious respiratory, circulatory, or other health issues, cervical traction might not be safe for you. Always consult your doctor to make sure traction is appropriate for your health condition.

Osteoporosis, High Blood Pressure, or Heart Problems:
People with significant osteoporosis (bone thinning), high blood pressure, or heart disease should avoid cervical traction. Traction can cause fractures in osteoporotic bones or worsen heart and blood pressure issues.

Increased Neck Pain After Treatment:
If you notice your symptoms worsen or you experience intense pain after using traction, stop immediately and consult with your doctor.

Pregnancy, Children, or Cancer/Tumor Patients:
Pregnant women, children, and patients with cancer or tumors should avoid cervical traction.
